The U.S. Mission to Russia understands that many visa applicants have paid the visa application processing fee and are still waiting to schedule a visa appointment. In consideration of foregoing, the U.S. Mission will extend the validity of payments (known as the MRV fee) until December 31, 2021, to allow all applicants who were unable to schedule a visa appointment as a result of the suspension of routine consular operations an opportunity to schedule and/or attend a visa appointment with the already paid fee.

Latest News about US Visas
Routine visa appointments in US Embassy in Moscow and Consulate in Vladivostok are still suspended but Consulate in Yekaterinburg started accepting interview waiver applications for C1/D in July, though there may not be appointment availability for this visa category due to great amount of applicants and limited number of appointments.
Flights to Egypt, UAE and Maldives resumed
According to decision by the RF Government, effective from 8 Sep, 2020, appointed Russian and foreign airlines restart regular flights to:
Cairo (Egypt) and back three times a week;
Dubai (UAE) and back twice a week;
Male (Maldives Republic) and back twice a week.
